Disability Pride Week CanDo-er: Alyssa Higgins
Alyssa Higgins is a wife, mother, and advocate for breaking down the stigma against parents with disabilities. Alyssa takes us on her journey through life on her Instagram page @wheel.life.in.the.wheel.world all while displaying her utmost ‘Can-Do’ attitude in normalizing disabled parenting.
“My name is Alyssa. I’m mom, dog mom, wife and disability advocate. I have a spinal cord injury due to malpractice and this has been my norm. I worked hard every day to get to where I am now. It has its ups and downs but never a dull moment.”
