Macarthy: Life always begins with one step outside of your comfort zone

Macarthy is a sophomore at the University of Southern California pursuing a degree in neuroscience. She is passionate about the brain’s unique role in our being and the power of meditation and neuroplasticity. In high school, Macarthy enjoyed working with children with special needs. She believed in their potential and in their intelligence. Her experiences furthered her interest in the brain and psychology. She hopes to bring awareness to those with special needs and give them the same opportunities as everyone else. Macarthy loves expressing her creativity through journaling, collaging, and blogging. She is an avid runner and has hopes of running the LA marathon next year! Macarthy uses CanDo bars to fuel her runs and her studies.
