Todd - I was not about to give up.

Todd Steinhauer was born with Spinal Meningitis and pneumonia, wasn't supposed to walk, let alone make it to his 18th birthday. Fast forward to today, at 54 years old (soon to be 55 on October 6th), not only is he walking but he has also taken on the incredible role of a K9 Rapid Response Officer.

But the journey to get here was far from easy. Todd and his faithful K9 partner, Carmel, faced unimaginable challenges. They were ambushed and stoned with large blocks of concrete, yet they recovered. Then, a hit-and-run driver, determined to harm him and his K9, struck them down. Again, they fought their way back to health. And just when they thought the worst was behind them, Carmel suffered a stroke, leaving her blind in one eye and paralyzed.

He refuses to replace Carmel or leave her behind. This remarkable K9 saved his life not once, but three times, and in return, Todd has dedicated his time to promoting companies and brands to ensure Carmel is never alone.
