"Have you ever shied away from eating high-fat foods? When I was younger, I remember thinking that supposedly nutritious foods like peanut butter weren’t actually healthy because they contain a lot of fat.
But as I became more knowledgeable about nutrition, I learned that nutrient-dense high-fat foods like nuts and avocado are fuel for the body & mind. 🥑🥜 Did you know that our brains are made up of 60% fat?! When we consume fatty acids, we’re helping our brains to perform at an optimal level.
So nowadays, I make sure to balance out my macros & eat my ideal ratio of carbs, fat & protein. This smoothie bowl is a good example of the type of balanced, plant-based meal that I eat for lunch. This filling, nourishing meal contains 470 calories, 22g carbs, 29g fat & 31g protein (not to mention 15g fiber & 150% Vitamin C + Calcium recommended DVs!).” - Nicole (@FoodieLovesFitness), Recipe Creator
